There's a story behind this one, but in general terms, I think having a plastered bandage on your face cannot feel pleasant. It's sticky, itchy, a little hot and when you move your facial muscles you can feel the bandage moving with them and tugging on the skin. Just the way that other... thing did. So u'know.
